GOING BLONDE overview.

this is for all the lazy people who are too lazy to read my long ass post below so this is the simplified version. There's extra tips in this one so make sure to read both.

  • do it yourself. save money and get better results than buying a box bleach.
  • wear gloves and use a hair brush (not comb "brush") to apply bleach.
  • separate hair into sections and start from the nape (neck) and work upwards.
  • apply 1to 1.5 inches away from roots. when rest of the hair is covered go back and apply to roots to ensure even hair color.
  • apply generously!!
  • DO NOT COMB THROUGH HAIR WHEN COVERED WITH BLEACH!! VERY DAMAGING
  • don't leave on for more than 40 mins. EVEN IF IT STATES LONGER. it's no good.
  • cover hair which tin foil after each sections so it doesn't dry out and then with a plastic hair cap.
  • don't be discouraged. it is literally impossible to go blonde in one go for Asian hair. it will take a few bleaches.
  • let your hair rest for at least a week before bleaching again. (ppl say 3 days but..it's bleach it totally harms ur hair no matter what ppl say.)
  • you will probably have rly wierd hair colors in between but i never said it was going to be easy,
  • deep condition!! A LOT (next post is a hair mask tutorial)
  • enjoy the results and let people stare.
  • p.s. I didn't bleach my eyebrows but if you are going to use facial bleach, NOT the one for your head hair.

Going Blonde

So I've been away for a while...what can i say I'm really lazy and busy. To make up for it two posts in a row! Last time you saw me i was still a semi-virgin haired Asian but now it's BLONDE!!. and here's how i got there. **disclaimer** this is by my own experience and i am not a professional so do at your own risk!!!
so here it goes step by step what I did to achieve my blonde hair. bear with me I'm not the best at explaining and there will be tips along the way which will be in PINK BOLD
i suggest going straight to the DIY bleach.
BEFORE APPLYING:
seperate hair into sections.
wear gloves at all times to avoid touching bleach.
don't comb though hair when hair is covered in bleach.
cover each section with foil after applying bleach.

BEFORE
So first attempt i used palty's sparkling blonde bleach. follow the instructions and buy two boxes if your hair is long like mine. (i recommend two if your hair passes your shoulders or if you have thick hair.)
as you can see since i had my mom do it, she's not used to dying hair (i do hers all the time) it came out kind of uneven and not blonde. Always apply to hair 1 to 1.5 inches away from root when bleaching, b/c the heat from your head make it develop faster. when the rest of the hair is covered go back and apply to roots. * this was my first mistake as you can see from the pictures
dark gingery copper color

in natural light.

After the palty failed i went ahead and purchased another bleach. i bought two boxes of manic panic 30 vol bleach. apply the same way as stated above.
this is the color it turned out. you can't tell but there are patches of uneven color.
Apply generous amounts of bleach to avoid patchy color

orangey blonde
after failing once again i decided to save money and do it myself. meaning i bought powder bleach and developer and mixed it myself. i bought salon care bleach. it's in a blue tub. (make sure you get the blue kind. it's less bronze-y) and 30 vol developer. 40 is too harsh even on virgin hair. read the directions on the back of the bleach powder tub and mix accordingly. i started with 2.5 scoops of powder but i ended up using like 3.5- 4. but always start less so you don't waste. i recommend leaving it on for no more than 40 mins. remember that it will take a few bleaches to get to this light.

RESULT

it's still patchy but I'm working on it. Btw i didn't tone my hair at all. it is yellowy but i don't really mind it. nao! camwhore pics.

tutorial on this makeup coming soon!

i dip dyed it pink-ish!

faded to a really ugly color though. i will do a tutorial on dip dying another way.
okay that's it i hope you enjoyed and of course if you have any questions. ASK ME!

IM BAAACKKK!

OKay soo. i know I've been gone for soo long but finally i decided to write a new post (most of which will be filled with pics). Now to update you guys on a bunch of things that happened over the summer. *warning* this will be a super long post!

1. I've officially been de-concert-virginized. lol? I actually went to so many concerts over the summer. I went to warped tour which has been like my dream ever since middle school which i have finally fulfilled, and then comes the Paramore concert I've always dreamed of going to. AND last but not least i went to 2NE-fucking 1's concert in September. and WOW! it was uh-mazing. It really was a once in a life kind of experience.

Pictures yay. i went to the concert in LA at the Nokia Theaters
Outside Nokia Theater. I feel like a proud mama.
tickets!! (not my hand lol)

LightSticks!! ($25 not bad..)

opening. sorry i know its hella-blurry

Dara's solo stage for KISS.  she chose a guy and kisses them on the cheek. OMG I AM SO JELLY!

ballad songs.

haha Bomie lying down and singing.

the end...

BUT THEN GUESS WHO SHOWS UP. WILL.I.AM. form BLACK EYE PEAS YO!

ppl getting up to leave :(

me and my chingu
I took a bunch of videos with my friend's camera but haven't had time to get them from her. So as you can see it was a pretty awesome concert. I teared up in the beginning before the concert. I mean c'mon this is a really rare oppurtunity for us living in the U.S. and i'd never in my life think i would ever see my favorite idols in person at a concert. *sigh* now i'm gona go mope in sadness that it's over.

 2. BIG NEWs. I bleached mah hair. I know right. I was just so bored of my dark hair so i decided to switch it up a bit. It was my first time bleaching and let me say i will never ever not read the instructions ever again. SUPER IMPORTANTE to read INSTRUCIONES?  lol ugh my bad spanish...or whats left of it. so it looks okay in pics but it really splotchy but i can't say i regret it. cus it's awesome no matter what. If you're curious i used Palty bleach in sparkling blonde. If your hair is long like mine (past shoulders) i recommend two boxes (mistake #1 for me).

INDOORS (yellow-y)
Natural lighting. idk why it looks so red
INDOORS W/ lights (obsessed with this floral crown btw!)

3. I will be going to another concert soon!! I don't know if you guys have hear but theres going to be a k-pop centered convention and concert. I'm super excited a bunch of ppl are going and i'm so excited to see B.A.P. i think i will pass out trying to get their signatures... oh by the way i feel like abunch of ppl will dress up like their fav idols so I AM TOO!!. well i can't say favorite b/c that will be unfair to my other favorites. let's just say favorite based on costumes. I'm cosplaying (can you use that for idols?) as BOM from 2NE1. and i'm making her monster outfit from the New Evolution concert. I kept thinking it was cookie monster until i saw upclose pics. You'll know what i mean once you Google it. (google: park bom new evolution and it's the blue one) leme give you a sneak peak at my work-in-progress.

GRR..sorry

I know i said i was going to post up a tutorial on that ah-mazing clutch i diy-ed but that's going to have to wait. i didn't take pictures of the original clutch i made due to the fact that it was a in-a-moment kind of thing so i have to make a new one all together; which i don't mind. BUT i've decided to add some stuff to the original design, like lining, closure buttons, etc and i'm still deciding on what kind of lining. fabric is out of the question and there's only a few selection of vinyl and clear plastic at joann's.

okay. meanwhile been working on a how-to wear your dress differently kind of thing. so pics haven't been taken but have been planning out the ideas and different looks. :D super excited for this one. recently bought a dress that is perfect for this how-to. so that's about it. i know i've been m.i.a recently so yeaahh, byess

Wavy Hair Tutorial Without Heat (CHURRO STYLE)

keke.. okay so i kinda decided to name this the churro hair tutorial because they look like the churros from Costco. so yeah. best results from over night on slightly damp hair.

split hair into two

split one side of your hair into two sections and twist outwards.

see this could be one hair tutorial. but leave over night ...
and you can get this. lightly brush it out and hairspray.
