4minute's What's Your Name inspired DIY paint splattered skirt

Hey guys, sorry for the being away fro so long. Long story short, my computer broke and this post is being uploaded with my tablet which is a pain in the a**.
So I've been wracking my brain on what diy to do next and finally a colorful mv to inspire one. I noticed 4 minutes outifts towards the zombie danceand was like this will be a fun and easy diy so here it is.
-paints. i used acrylic but you can use fabric paint. (acrylic is cheaper!!)
-an article of clothing you're going to diy (something you don't wear anymore?)
-water
-a small mixing cup
-and a paintbrush

don't be afraid to smudge and dab. go crazy!
let dry and repeat on other side (or not)
DONE. i wish i'd chosen a more colorful piece of clothing like 4minute's, but it turned out great!

Lee Hi "It's Over" inspired hairband

  here are the promised pics.

Hey guys! Back with another k-pop inspired diy for you kpop lovers. This time is inspired by Lee Hi's new comeback song "It's Over" Though out the whole song cute hairbands popping up everywhere, and teddy bears, a lot of teddy bears. Originally i wanted to make one with teddy bears but i can't bear (pun intended) the thought of decapitating one of mine or any one for that matter so here's one that's "inspired".

But before that i have a hair update! too much up keep for blond hair so to minimize the black roots problem i kind of ombre'd it purple. i Love the color! and it makes the black roots situation less noticeable so i'm happy.

Let's Start
you'll need:
cute fabric (something cotton-y - no stretch)
*can use fleece if lazy to hem*
needle
thread
plain headband
glue (hot glue/E6000)
stuffing (i just used cut up fleece)
other embellishments you have

DIY BAP Collars part 1

(part 1 will show you how to make the basic collar and Jong Up's bow-tie. Part 2 will include Yong Guk's and Him Chan's versions.)

My diy inspiration from their new MV "One-Shot". Really loving the whole black and white concept (considering i'm super into the black on black right now). First Yong Guk's collar caught my attention and i noticed a lot of different variations of the collar. So with this tutorial you can create all three. Without much ado here's the tutorial.

*extra notes
Measure your neck first. Figure out the measurements to A, C and F.
D and E will not be part of the pattern but it is there to guide you to create the trapezoid shape.
Choose a stiffer fabric like a cotton linen.
Seam Allowance is half and inch unless otherwise stated.

Cut out the pattern from the fabric. Sew the trapezoid right sides together leaving side C open *sew half an inch from side C from both sides.
trim the seam allowance to 1/4 of an inch and turn inside out.

Fold the rectangle piece in half length wise and sew the two shorter sides *also sewing half an inch from the opened side

Fine the midpoint of the two pieces length wise and cut a notch
place the right side of side C to the open side of the rectangular piece and match up the notches.
SEW ONLY ONE OF EACH SIDE TOGETHER. BOTH YOUR PIECES SHOULD STILL HAVE OPENINGS.

fold unfinished side over and fold in 1/2 in of seam allowance.

basic collar is DONE!
if you noticed there's no fastener for the collar. that's up to you. you can do the classic button and button-hole, or you can do snaps, or eye and hook. so many options!

DONE!

New Style For 2013

Soo i noticed recently there were a lot of blogs/sites/forums dedicated to kpop style and i love both kpop and fashion. (my zelo mask diy got the most amount of hits!) Except..mine is going to be a little different. It's going to be diy kpop fashion. Meaning you can make it yourself. at home. without spending ridiculous amounts of money to copy your favorite kpop stars' fashion. Since i'm not an advanced sew-er most likely these diys will be beginner to intermediate. how about it!
SO  i have decided the first diy project will be *drumroll* in honor of BAP's comeback. In their new mv "one shot" a lot of collared shirts were popping up. since i have no skills to tailor an actual shirt. we will be making collars. YAY!! hopefully everything will be up in about a week. got some planning to do. :D
